Goal and target group
Research has become more of a focus for higher educated professionals. It has become more central as part of the job description, professionals are more often participants in research, and as consumers of research. Knowledge of research methods is more and more crucial, especially for lecturers who supervise the research projects of their students. This course is designed to refresh and expand the knowledge in research methods of the participants.
Refresh and expand
You want to renew or expand your knowledge of research methods for your current or future research activities. You want to be better prepared for dilemmas and questions that arise from research of yourself or others. This course aims specifically at lecturers who supervise students and encounter methodological and practical problems. How can research projects be supervised optimally, without taking over the research activities yourself?
Critical reflection
The course practice oriented research is designed for researchers and lecturers that are part of the thesis process or that develop their own research projects. During the course, we will actively discuss and reflect on examples from the participants’ experiences. Reflection is critical to be able to understand the potential value of research. Participants will reflect on the quality, relevance and usefulness of research projects. They learn to draw justifiable conclusions and come up with relevant suggestions.
